Mix together:1 large box Rice Chex (about 20 oz)
1/2 box Golden Grahams
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 bag miniature marshmallows
3/4 - 1 cup coconut
In a saucepan:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups sweetened light corn syrup
1 cup butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Mix the dry ingredients in a huge bowl, you will need to have room to stir.
Bring sugar, syrup, butter, and vanilla to a full boil for two minutes. Pour over dry mixture. Stir until evenly coated and spread on wax paper to dry. Store in air tight container.
This is a huge recipe and you can eat the whole thing... I only make it when I have somewhere to take at least half to slow us down a little.

i have long adored this recipe which jill posts but always credits you. never made it for fear that i would eat the entire batch.

Is there coconut in this? I swear I see it in the picture! I am making it today and getting my list for the store. I think I will throw some in there- it can't hurt, right?
And can you use butter? Does it make it taste that much different?
And is sweetened corn syrup just the light stuff?
