Tortilla Soup

8 corn tortillas, cut in strips
1/2 cup cilantro
1 chopped medium onion
6 cloves crushed garlic
6 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 28oz can diced tomatoes
6 cups chicken broth
4-6 shredded chicken breasts
Chili pepper
Cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper
3 bay leaves

Heat oil, add tortillas, onion, cilantro, and garlic. Sauté. Add tomatoes to broth. Bring to boil, add cumin, chili pepper, pepper, and bay leaves. Bring to boil, reduce heat add cayenne pepper, salt and chicken. Simmer 30 minutes.
